Yikes It's Hot

Today's ride is going to hurt. It's hot. And those wind gusts, while not terribly bad, aren't go to be much nicer. I noticed the weatherbug icon on my PC's taskbar was red - 102 degrees F. Oddly enough, they keep it so cold in my office that going out into 100 degree temps actually feels good - for about 2 minutes. Then you start to sweat.

By contrast, last weekend Nada's dad told me that, when he went to Oman years ago, it was 130 degress Farenheit! He went spear-fishing in the ocean, and even the water was almost 100 degrees F! That's only slightly cooler than climbing into your average hottub. He also told me about living in Nigeria when my wife was just a small child. He said the candles used to melt during the daytime (while they weren't lit), inside the house, b/c of the heat. I had just come back from riding and was complaining about how hot it was when he put it all into perspective for me.
