Robbie is National Champ

A cycling buddy and teammate of mine, Robbie Robinette, won the Masters National Road Race Championship today in Park City, Utah. It was the 40-44 age division which contained some very fast riders and previous national champions. Robbie won solo, which is the hardest but best way to win in road racing. A solo breakaway in cycling is like a knockout in boxing - it's winning with an exclamation mark.

Robbie is a founder of RGM Advisors and an expecting father. He's got alot going on. It is great to see him get this big win after all the hard work he's put in on the bike over the last 2 to 3 years, and near misses in some other races. It is the big one that counts, though. "National Champion" has a nice ring and is something every cyclist dreams of having on their palmares (an old-world cycling term which means your results and accomplishments).
