Chuy's is a good place for babies b/c it is noisy and there are many interesting sights - colored lights, shiny hubcaps, painted wooden fish, and weird-looking people. Objects that a baby's eyes are drawn toward, like their own toys.
Afterward, we waddled down the drag (Gaudalupe) looking for some new Puma's, but it was slim pickin's. I like Austin alot but the clothing retail stores here (in general) need to step it up a notch. Spend some time in a city like San Franciso, NYC, London, Paris, or even Beirut, and you'll see what I mean. I hate shopping but, when you walk around in 1 of those places, you just want to buy stuff b/c there is SO MUCH stuff that you can't get here. If you like "stuff", that is.
It was hot as hell outside, as usual, and the car's thermometer read 97 degrees F while parked in the shade! Yet we're only 3 days into July... T minus 4 weeks before we fly to Cancun, where it'll be a more temperate 80 degrees F.
