When my wife asked why I came up with such a lowly, pathetic name for my fantasy football team, I told her "b/c it'll sting that much worse when I win". If your team's name is "Wrecking Crew", or "World Champions", or "Head Smashers" or whatever hyper-macho name you choose, and you lose to a team named "90 Pound Weaklings", then what does that say about your team? Not much, apparently.
The top 6 of 8 teams make it into the playoffs (in my fantasy league), and I was #6. Last team going in, first team coming out. It's good to be the king.
You would think that I would have done better in my Cycling Fantasy League.
