New Home

We're finally moved into the new house in Cedar Park. Moving is such a huge pain. The move itself is stressful and tiring, and then you still have to unpack, decorate, declutter, organize, etc.

The new neighbors are friendly and it seems that almost everyone on our street (there are only 6 or 7 houses right now, with more under construction) has kids, and they are more or less Faris' age. Jorge and Fabiola, who live 2 doors down to the right, have 3 kids - 2 boys and 1 girl. Their youngest child, Santiago, is only 2 months younger than Faris. John and Julie, who live next door to the left, have a 20 month old boy named Quint. So Faris will have some neighborhood buddies to play with.

The biking is pretty good, too, and I can get out into the "country" in just a few minutes, either West toward Lake Travis, or East toward Georgetown. Jorge also rides and was state champion of Mexico in his heyday. We are supposed to go riding together later this week. There is also a guy who lives at the end of the street that is a triathlete, though I haven't met him yet. He rides with Jorge sometimes.
